It has been seven years since the passing of William B. "Bill" Snyder III, M.D. a pioneering and highly respected endocrine surgeon, know affectionately as the ultimate surgeon. A leading medical practitioner, a beloved professor of surgery, and a caring person in every way, Dr. Snyder spent his entire post-residency career - nearly 40 years - at UT Southwestern, founding this endocrine surgery program and becoming an icon in the Department of Surgery.
Our goal is to establish the Dr. William H. Snyder III Endocrine Surgery Fellowship, which will recognize in perpetuity his outstanding contributions to UT Southwestern's Department of Surgery and to the fields of endocrine, thoracic, and general surgery.
